start models

I have a start model for turning, which includes a workpiece. When
creating a new manufacturing model based on the start model the setup
drawing and manufacturing model/manufacturing assembly are re-named
properly. However, I was expecting a popup window that allowed for
re-naming the workpiece, but I do not get this, and the workpiece keeps
its "start" name and tries to save back to the start directory. Am I
missing a confg option?

How do you properly handle workpieces in manufacturing start models?

Hi Bill

I created a mapkey to overcome this
First I open the Workpiece from the Mfg Model tree - run the RN mapkey
shown below,
This mapkey asks you to input the name then resumes & backs up to
current working
directory and closes the window, returning back to the mfg model

mapkey rn @MAPKEY_LABELRename In Session;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`1 `File`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `File.psh_rename`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Select `rename` `RadioGroup1`1 `session_only`;\
mapkey(continued) @MANUAL_PAUSEEnter Workpiece Name ie xxxx_stk;~
Activate `rename` `OK`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ FocusIn `UI Message Dialog` `ok`;~ Activate `UI
Message Dialog` `ok`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`1 `File`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `File.psh_backup`;~ Activate
`file_saveas` `OK`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`1 `Windows`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `Windows.psh_win_close`;

Hope this helps
