Where to find Project Groups in Codebeamer X UI - Codebeamer 3.1

Hello,

I am trying to figure out where to find the Project Groups section in the Codebeamer X UI. An older wiki page for Codebeamer X (https://support.ptc.com/help/codebeamer/r3.0/ko/index.html#page/codebeamer/cbx_user_guide/cbx_projects/cbx_11126.html#wwID0ETSGKB) says that user groups can be added. But the link for how to do that is a circular reference to its own parent page which doesn't contain the information.

Are project groups still a thing in Codebeamer X? If yes, where do I find them? If no, what has replaced this functionality?

Hello @AW_10741129 , the Project Groups feature is not available on the Codebeamer X user interface, a similar feature that you could possibly use instead is Project Categories.

We will update the documentation.

Hi @AW_10741129

Thank you for your question.

Your post appears well documented but has not yet received any response. I am replying to raise awareness. Hopefully, another community member will be able to help.

Also, feel free to add any additional information you think might be relevant. It sometimes helps to have screenshots to better understand what you are trying to do.

Hi @AW_10741129

The project groups are managed in the project group tab on the project browser screen.

I also noticed that you mentioned user groups; I'm not sure if that was a typo. However, user groups are an instance-level security model, which is managed in the System Administration tab.

Thanks,

Hi @BKampling_SAI,

Thanks for the reply, yes user groups was a typo, I meant to say Project Groups. I do know where to locate the project groups in the standard Codebeamer UI, which is what it looks like your screenshot shows. I am looking for where that same feature is in the new Codebeamer X UI.

Best,

Andrew
