Inspection Dimension

Inspection Dimension

Direct Modeling/Annotation does not offer an option for adding an inspection rate including frame to the dimension.

We were able to use such a function with AutoCAD LT.

The workaround, adding a vertical line "|" and the rate in the Postfix might do the job, but the display is not according to standards.

This is dimensioning option which is used by many companies and really should be there.

Is there a standard for this? Can you point to the standard that you are referring to?

That question was asked on Eng-Tips.com in the SolidWorks forum and no one could come up with a standard for the inspection symbol.

What 'standard' are you designing the inspection symbol to?

Has this been considered for Creo Parametric, also?

This is implemented in 20.6.

As  there isn't really a standard, we essentially just enabled dimensions to have an "inspection" attribute that would pre-define to show a balloon frame with optional pre-/postfix sections separated by vertical lines.
