Create and modify symbols on drawings and models which support the ASME Y14.5 2009 standard.
This only makes sense to do. Have the latest standards available in the latest edition.
Please implement changes so the GD&T portion follows ASME Y14.5-2009. I am tired of creating sketches to complete my GD&T.
Translation symbol and All Over symbols are added in Creo 3.0 referring to https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS166180
That is nice for Creo 3.0, but what about creo elements/direct?
I agree Tom.
Please stop discussing/disclosing V19 BETA results.
All participants of V19 BETA have signed a NDA agreement,
Modify the existing Counterbore symbol into the new Spotface symbol. Modify the existing Statistical Tolerance symbol into the Continuous Feature symbol. Modify ANY Material Condition modifier symbol into Independency and Unequally Disposed Profile modifier symbols.
Product managers were given an extensive Power Point slide deck containing all the changes that were required to created AMSE Y14.5-2009 standard symbols back in 2014 which was put together by myself, Peter Kehoe, Michael Spiewak and our company's resident ASME certified senior GD&T specialist. They have been working to improve the GD&T symbols and we will hopefully see this improve in version 20.
Hi to all,
I am a new product manager at PTC, so I am not sure that I have all the examples that were referred to in this idea.
More symbol specific data is needed in order for me to understand which symbols are not updated according to the standard.
In addition, in Creo 4.0 many symbols were added to the palette in order to meet the standards.
please provide specific examples preferably with pictures
As this relates to Creo Elements/Direct Modeling's Annotation capabilities, please note that we delivered a significantly broadened standard support in our latest Creo Elements/Direct 20.2 release and plan to further expand on that in Creo Elements/Direct 20.3 (all-around/all-over symbols & more)
