2011 Conference Feedback?

Hi Folks,
I have seen some headlines from the conference about release of Creo 1.0 and
Windchill 10 incliding a press release from PTC.

Very surprised that I have not seen any attendee feedback on what they have
seen and how they feel about it. Nothing I can see on the other forums
either.

It's in VEGAS...I doubt many are sober past lunch. 🙂

I played with Creo for a good chunk of time on Sunday. My personal opinion is that this blows the doors off of any tool out there....bar none.

The ribbon ui is expanded throughout the product and is completely configurable.

The usability enhancements clearly show that PTC paid a lot of attention to the user experience and workflow.

There is a lot of excitement around it here.

The apps concept is well thought out and the user flow makes a lot of sense.

We were thinking of upgrading to Creo elements pro 5...(wf5)....but I believe Creo 1.0 is a far better idea....there's no comparison.

I agree, the CREO/Elements Pro 5 hands on was fun.
I feel it will be a great advancement, and as always seeing and playing with CREO 1 got me excited about the future.
Love all the RMB functions.

what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas
Smiley Happy Smiley Happy

body{font-size:10pt;font-family:arial,sans-serif;background-color:#ffffff;color:black;}p{margin:0px;}Feedback? Maybe later. 12 hr days, and then Vegas on top of that, so that ends up being 16 hr days and even more for some. Everyone I talk to is exhausted and this is really only day two... You should be able to Brian Shepherd's Keynote on-line. I know you're in New Zealand, so it isn't easy to get here, but there are always some Kiwis here. Obviously, if you really want to know what's going on here...

I, and several others, but not the whole department have this issue.

While in a drawing, the crosshatching will become non-editable, meaning one can’t change the spacing etc. The work around is to re-create the view. Needless to say this is PIA!

These particular hatches come from ECAD area created at the part level, but I have seen it happen on hatches from cross sections created in the models as well.

What set me off today was that I was working in a drawing and recreated a view to resolve this issue. I was on a conference call and doing other things on the PC with Pro-E up in the background. I finally start working on the drawing again and now the hatches are non-editable again! Grrrrrrrrrrr

Anybody else experiencing this or have any thoughts?
