Are files modified by Creo 2.0 build m170 fully compatible with m070?

Are files modified by Creo 2.0 build m170 fully compatible with m070?

We have 2 groups of users.  All are currently running creo 2.0 m070.

One group is between projects and would like to update to m170.

The 2nd group must wait.

Are files that get modified by users running m170 fully backward compatible to users running m070?

They are compatible, with one caveat:  If the user makes something in M170, and you retrieve the model in M070, and there was some bug that was fixed in an interim build, then this bug will appear in the M070 session.  Making changes there, saving it, and retrieving the result in M170, you'll find the bug fixed again.  Obviously unavoidable, as we can't change the already-shipped build when making new fixes, but worth mentioning.  Some companies find that avoiding this sort of issue is worth forcing the users to standardize, others don't.

We have users scattered from M050 or M060 to M170 with no known compatibility issues.

Builds are supposed to be fully compatible.
