Automatic Scaling of the model

Hi,

I want to use thewildfire 3.0 pro/efeature"Automatic scaling to fit the model inside the space defined by the template view boundary". I am able to drag a view boundary in the template mode but not able to add a model to this viewto automatically scale the model to fit in that boundary.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Regards,

Chandana

Hi All,

Here'showautomatic scaling works:

1) Create a New drawing and in the new drawing window select a template or selectempty with format and specify your format.

2) Then goto "Applications" in the Menu bar and select "template" mode. Then goto Insert-->Template View which opens up a "template view instructions" dialog box. Give whatever orientation you want under the view values for View States. You can give a saved orientation too. Then select place view and depress left mouse button and draw a boundary on the template. Now save thisas a template. We can't place a model directly on this.

3) Next time when creating a drawing, select this particular template which you saved and it will automaticallyplace the model to fit in that boundary of the template.

Sounds like a very useful feature. We created our own app in toolkit 10
years ago to do this. But I would much rather use the built-in
functionality. Can the view stay anchored? What about legacy drawings?
When PTC comes out with an enhancement like this, they need to have a
way to update all of your existing drawings.
