Cardboard Box analysis

Has anyone tried to use Mechanica for a crush analysis on a cardboard
box or drum? I have a user that is interested in seeing if Mechanica
could tell him how high he could stack boxes (or cardboard drums) before
the bottom one crushes under the load.

Kelly, a "crush analysis" would be way past the limits of capability of a
"linear only" analysis code such as Mechanica. I would think, however, that
if the cardboard material was properly modeled (not trivial) that the
Buckling analysis feature might give the user some helpful feedback for
design improvements (comparative improvements vs. absolute predictions of
failure). Of course, whenever injury or property damage could result, test
- Test - TEST!
