Hello everyone,

I am trying to convert the .prt into .step, during this process we can the co-ordinate system as well. I have the common name for co-ordiante system all parts. I have recorded the mapkey with selecting the co-ordinate system. If i am running the same mapkey for different parts, it is unable to select the co-orinate system. Gving the error message "Select co-ordinate system, Export aborted". I have this doubt and also, How to select the particualr feature from tree using the name..

Hi Martin, Thank you so much.. It is working fine.

I have one more doubt, how to create same mapkey for multiple files..

Hi,

I guess that you have to create STEP file for all .prt file located in single directory. In this case you have to use batch solution.

  1. you can use PTC Distributed Batch utility
  2. you can generate trail file and run it
  3. you can use TrailMaker created by Jose Costa

Hi Martin,

Thanks Martin.

  1. you can use PTC Distributed Batch utility - How to get this one
  2. you can generate trail file and run it - Could you please give the demo
  3. you can use TrailMaker created by Jose Costa - Where will we get this

To find Trailmaker try the "Search all content" function of the Community:

Hi,

unfortunatelly I do not have free time to teach you, what to do 🙂

  1. you can use PTC Distributed Batch utility ... search Creo Help
  2. you can generate trail file and run it ... this method is too complicated, you have to understand trail files
  3. you can use TrailMaker created by Jose Costa ... TrailMaker is ready to use with Creo 2.0, only
