Is there any way to add a tab to the Ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar that will alway display regardless of the context?
We just started using Creo and trying to customize the menus. It looks there is a completely different ribbon for every application. We would like to add some commands one time and be able to see it in the menus choices no matter what file we open.
( I would like to meet the person(s) at PTC that thought the microsoft office ribbon would be a good idea to implement in ProE. I would just like to give them a good punch in the face.)
Jensen Harris of Microsoft was the leader of the Ribbon interface UI team.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ribbon_%28computing%29
"An online survey conducted by ExcelUser reports that a majority of respondents had a negative opinion of the change, with advanced users being "somewhat more negative" than intermediate users; the self-estimated reduction in productivity was an average of about 20%, and "about 35%" for people with a negative opinion"

I recall that Joel Spolsky (worked on earlier Excel and VBA) noted that MS found a significant number of enhancement requests was for features Excel already had. The Ribbon develepment was intended to make these features more obvious.
