Cursor and text problems in ProE

Pros:

I have a number of users complaining that when they are editing text in
a properties dialog the cursor does not maintain its alignment with the
text in the dialog box as they use their arrow keys. As a result they
are often deleting or changing the wrong text in the dialog box.

Initially the cursor seems to be aligned properly, but as you move the
cursor character to character, it begins to encroach on the letters and
will appear right on top of a character. I have seen this in the past,
but nothing I tried at the time seemed to help. Has anyone else
experienced this and found the root cause?

We are on ProE 2001/Ilink 3.0 on IBM ThinkCentre/WinXP/ATI

Thanks for any help,

I have seen this. This started when we updated one of the Windows
Updates. it seems to be to be Graphics card/ update issue.
We had 6 users all update at the same time, two of us, who had identical
machines had the problem. Only his windows updated went seamlessly and he
could
go back to the prior update. & lucky me, mine crashed after it loaded, and
the UNDO option was gone on mine..they were going to have to totally
re-install the operating system on my machine to go back...

the only other fix is save & reboot.. when you come back it will be okay,
for a while..

They will also see the problem in other programs the more they use them..
it makes typing emails and reports fun too!!

I tried to search the archives to find my old post, because I know I
listed the UPDATE NUMBER. but I can't seem to find it..
(if you want to try, search for every post by
terryjohnson@americanironhorse.com maybe you'll get lucky)
