Hi David,

This is in reference to call number C5253574. The issue is "How to use ‘.pfm’ fonts with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0?"

Postscript type1 fonts (.pfb and .pfm) fonts are not supported in Pro/ENGINEER. Only true type fonts are supported in Wildfire 2.0. Both ‘True type’ and ‘Open type' fonts are supported in Wildfire 3.0.

In some cases WF2.0 does not completely support True Type either.

At least, recent experience with a filled font showed some translation
problem that left the font unreadable on printouts and PDF files, even
though it looked ok on the screen.

The work-around was to use Adobe Illustrator to convert the text into filled
outlines and import them as DXF format files. Rather an expensive font
squashing utility.

The same fonts render correctly from Microsoft Word, et al.

It appeared to be a winding-rule evaluation problem.
