Help wanted for splitting Cylindrical Face on a rod

Can I get any help for splitting Cylindrical Face on a rod 3D model in Pro-E?

I'm going to split the Cylindrical Face becoming two sections along axial of the rod.In this way

I canapply load on one of the faces to do FEA analysis.

Thanks

Howard

Howard,

If using mechanica you can create a surface region in mechanica (also in FEM mode) to isolate a portion of the surface you want to apply a load or constrain to. This feature is only visiblewhen in mechanic and can be exported to FEA solvers.

or you can copy the surface in part mode and then trim it to the size you need.

Hope this helps,

Don
