Save files to Wildfire 4.0 from 5.0

I'm considering getting Pro E Wildfire 5.0 but I collaborate with associates still using 4.0. While using 5.0, can I save files in 4.0 format? Or, is there an easy way to convert 5.0 files to 4.0 format?

This question comes up again and again in this forum. Look into the so called "Granite interoperability kernel" for backwards compatibility. You can find links here on the ptc website. e.g.:

The one "big thing" to remember is that when you open a later version file in an earlier version of Pro/Engineer, everything is turned into one big imported solid and you loose your model's feature tree.

With GCRI that Daid mentioned above you get the feature tree but you can't edit the features. You can add new features in WF4 and import back to WF5 where you can edit all the features.
