Hi there,
I am writing a document to upper management and I am trying to justify upgrading from WF5 to Creo3. I have a whole list of things but first off I am getting SSD's installed in my Laptop and I am wondering if there would be an even greater advantage in performance using SSD's with Creo3 compared to WF5?
Anyone know if WF5 (M060 from way back in 2009!) would take full advantage of the SSD's? If not and Creo3 does, I can add that to the list of benefits!
Thanks
Al
If you use Creo Simulate you will see a huge performance improvement with SSD's. This should be true for either WF5 or Creo 3.0.
On the modeling side, if you work off the local drive you will also see a nice improvement in file load times. Once the models are loaded the type of drive is not relevant until you hit save. Again the write times to SSD's are much faster.
Hi,
I think WF5 takes full advantage of the SSD. There is no difference between WF5 and CR3 in case of SSD usage.

There is no "full advantage" or "less then full advantage", it's just a storage system, everything for the usage of it is taken care of from the OS to the SSD.
