download went good for creo 3.0 but....

So the download went good or so I thought. When I click on the short cut nothing happens. I have even gone to the file location with no luck. When I click on the parametric.exe file it states that it needs reconfigured. Can anyone help with this? Is there a phone I can call for assistance?

You have downloaded a zip file so you need to do more.

Unpack the zip file.

Run the setup program in the unpacked zip file in the Parametric folder.

Configure parametric.psf with your license information.

Run Parametric.bat to launch Creo.

how do i configure parametric.psf?

Locate the file and open it in notepad.

Look for this line: ENV=PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=

and then add your license server information .

The line will look like this when done.

ENV=PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=7788@<your_license_serevr_name>

At least that is on the commercial version. Not sure if the academic version does something different for licensing.

Contact Academic Support for more help.
