I remember the start of a favorite TV series which began with the major character working in a drafting office. Most of the dialog was carried out while in the background, a young draffy was scratching out from the Mylar, the largest ink blot you ever did see. I used to use the old parallel motion and adjustable square and I lost count of the number of times I would slide that square ........as it smudged my ink across the sheet! Ah, happy days.
Diazo machines for copying, coming off the machine wet and with ammonia smell, as well as cepia negatives corrected with acid and neutralizer. I don't miss it!
