how to sketch a involute curve for centrifugal pump

Hello everyone,

I am trying to sketch an involute curve for centrifugal pump casing. Can you please guide me how to sketch an involute in sketch mode.

I don't believe you can accurately sketch an involute curve; however, you can define it exactly using an equation-driven curve.

The best way to get an involute curve into a sketch is to project it from an external-to-the-sketch feature.

The reference can come from an equation driven edge or curve such as the result of a variable sweep or maybe a equation driven datum curve.

There is a similar problem with making graphs.  Using algebraic functions have to come from external sources, not always parametric either.  Graphs are great for making variable sweep sections using the evalgraph() function.

The attached file provides some ideas using equation curves for involutes.
