long time back there was wonderful software going by the name of Pro/Engineer for 3D modelling.
what happened to it?
it was powerful,
it was logical,
had lots of capabilities,
when ever you thought this could not be done in Pro/E..there was the functionality.
then every body started copying it...Solidworks,Inventor,Solid Edge...yes all of them...
and now they say that these copied software's are better......yes surely...u just had to copy the main functionality and then tweak it..and say we are better..so original right.
never mind....
what i do mind is...Pro/E copying user interface...of these copied softwares..instead of building on there own functionality.
why have you lost your confidence....PTC?
Here is a similar line of thought that you might want to follow.
There once was a man from Nantucket, and when trying creo said....er....nevermind....
There's enough of these threads out there that you can add too. No sense creating another one.
By the same token:
A guy by the name of Ford made a 4 wheel contraption that everyone loved, that took them around, and made the horse obsolete & life a little easier. Then everyone else copied him. His idea and his way of making it.. Some even improved the idea, some added some nifty features. Some even made them go ridiculously fast! And some, well, someone made something called the Bricklin..
