proe sales vs others

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering how proe sales are vs. competition. Is Solid Works still
catching up fast or has that waned? Anybody know the new cad seat purchase
breakdown how about total seats? Thanks.

Apparently their parent company Dassault Systemes is not doing too bad, but you can't separate the bad data from the good.

There should be something published with that information somewhere.

I saw some data the other month...it basically stated this...

No other single MCAD solution drives more revenue than ProENGINEER.

Catia + Solidworks do more, but neither individually...AutoCAD+Inventor do more, but neither individually...etc.

Also no other single PLM solution drives more revenue than Windchill.

Smarteam + Matrix + Envoia do more, but not individually.

Teamcenter + Teamcenter Engineering +Metaphase +, Technomix + etc do more, but none individually.

These same stats hold true for R&D spending...UGS and Dassault out spend PTC in R&D, but itsdiluted across far more products.

I've tried to pull "real" data from Annual Reports from Dassault and PTC, but it is very difficult because of how they try to account for revenue (desktop vs PLM...etc)
