"Spammy" messages selling products to our list

Is anyone besides me getting annoyed at the spammy advertising messages that have come through the list frequently? I would think that we had some sort of policy for this, or am I mistaken?

I am getting them too and do not care for that!

For now the Subject line is enough to realize the spam message without
opening

but would appreciate them not being part of the user list.

If there isn't a policy for this there definitely needs to be.

I'm pretty sure that direct sales pitches are a no-no except on the
Network list. However, I believe that if someone asks for a solution
that your product is made for, saying "Hey, I have a product that may
help." is OK.

I've seen ones directly to the list that are blatant advertisements. I've emailed the sender to cease and desist, but still see them coming through. Do we have a "moderator" of sorts on this list?

Moderator? We used to have Rick Snyder, but alas with PTC taking over the conference logistics, we no longer have him.

We are our own moderators, if enough people pile on to the source of the problem, the point normally gets through to them.

I thought Dan Glenn was a watchdog on stuff like this. ??

Of course, we're all getting "spammy" messages about getting "spammy"
messages now. Take it to "etc" please.

Mind you, I've just spammed, haven't I?
