It would be a real time saver if there was a button or a way to open the corresponding drawing for an onscreen model or assembly ? The other way around is easy as in the drawing you have on the left bottom a component tree to open the component but not reversed. This operation, retype the number of the drawing, is done several times a day by many designers and would be a real time saver. They are dreaming for years to have this

Do not expect that PTC will implement such button, because model does not know what is drawing name -AND- where drawing is located.

(Great idea, but if the model was in multiple drawings, it would know which drawing you wanted open)

They know where it has been referenced in drawings, so they can show only the 1:1 matches

They know on what drawing the model has been referenced en surely know, in case of used by Windchill, where the drawing is stored.
