ANSI Fitting Library: Flanges
No datum points are present in any of the Flange models located in the ANSI master catalog, fitting library.
This could cause confusion to someone who is inexperienced with piping as they will not be able to place the fitting.
In the PTC University Course: "Piping, Using Creo Parametric 3.0" the block of instruction "Understanding Fittings" states: A coordinate system (ENTRY_PORT) is then selected to orient the fitting, and a datum point is selected in the fitting to locate the fitting on the pipeline.
