Ability to measure the distance between the mouth pick point.

Most case we want to measure the rough distance between the point of mouse pick, without create Datum point on the edges and/or surfaces. Currently Creo always measure the minimum distance between the entity. Solid Edge can be measure the distance of the point even there are no edges and surfaces.

You can measure a distance between any points by selecting the "face location" entity filter. Typically I put the view in the right orientation and then select the "View Pane" projection direction, then I get the valueI want as the "projected distance" measurement. The only restriction is that there has to be a surface behind the screen point in the projection direction. So you can't measure a distance into "empty space" but that's typically not an issue.
