Abitlity to define tangency end conditions for a curve through points in IDD

Abitlity to define tangency end conditions for a curve through points in IDD

When creating a cure through points in IDD you do not have the ability to define tangent end conditions as you are in Creo Parametric.

Can we add the ability to define tangent end conditions to curves created in IDD?

This is to me the feature, that I am missing the most in IDD. I think, this is basic feature, that should be present in IDD!

Hi,

I found out, you can do this in IDD! First, make the curve through points and then define it's tangency. It's a bit odd, but it works. See Creo help:

You can click Edit > Align on the Import DataDoctor tab to create or modify curve constraints. You can apply the following types of constraints on curves:

Position—A curve is constrained by position if the end of the curve is constrained to a point on another curve, vertex, or a surface. This is the default.

Tangent—Sets the tangent of the slave curve to match the tangent value of the master curve.

Curvature—Same as Tangent, but the original curvature value of the master curve is also maintained.

Normal—Sets the curve normal to the selected reference.
