The idea is to be able to quickly see through the parts/assemblies for holes, cuts, etc. Without the need to switch to wireframe display style and so without the need to change the display style at all.
Can you explain this again?
With transparent shading, do you mean see-through with color?
Aren't you still going to have switch to "Transparent Shading" mode when you want to use it?
Yeap, see through models with shading/render (color). The point is that wireframe isn't very representative and it's actually very laggy with large assemblies.
I am not even gonna mention display with hidden lines there.
