Add ability to duplicate a drawing view

Add ability to duplicate a drawing view

There should be a way to duplicate a drawing view exactly, including the annotations of that view.  Selecting the view and it's annotations and copying and pasting could be a simple solution.

Currently there are a few ways to get the view duplicated but the annotations are lost.

Yes, there ought to be a straightforward way to duplicate a drawing view.  As a workaround, note that you can duplicate a drawing sheet, including all its views.  (And you could then move the duplicate view out of the duplicate sheet, and delete the duplicate sheet.)

@dcokin  When you duplicate the sheet are the annotations from the original sheet still there in the new sheet?   I had considered this as a solution but when I duplicate the sheet the views do remain but any annotations of the views disappear.  Maybe there is a way of duplicating the sheet that I'm not aware of.  Thanks!

When I duplicate a sheet, the duplicate looks just like the original; all the same annotations and all.  I have customized my configuration in many ways, but I don't recall any settings that would have affected that behavior; surprised it doesn't work the same for you.

@dcokin Thanks! I'll dig into it deeper

As mentioned in help, shown model annotations are not copied: When you copy a sheet, the newly created sheet contains all items that can exist with the same definition, such as views and drawing annotations. Items that cannot exist with the same definition, such as shown model annotations, table segments, are not copied in the new sheet.
