When things change in a top down environment or within a model itself, child models/features are bound to lose their references to their parents. These features fail and the missing references need to be removed individually, which is painfully slow. Why not introduce an option that when features are missing, and cannot be rerouted, you can remove all missing references with a single button click within the feature dialog box. This would speed up the design process inordinately. This would work for for copy geometry, sketcher, rounds, chamfers, shell creation in simulate, copy surface (individual) etc. Any feature that results in multiple, individual reference selections to complete the feature.
