Add more Materials informations and command in Creo.

Add more Materials informations and command in Creo.

Why don't create a fantastic material library like other CAD software with more than 20 defaut material.

Today each customer create or recreate there own material in mtl... but I'm sure that most of the standard materials could be create with an Hatch include and a realist color associate. SW do that perfectly by default so why not PTC...

These material library could be install and activate or not like PTC have done with a Graphic library few years ago.

I'm sure it could be possible to get some PTC direct customer's material library ....graphics library .... Hatch Library ...Mapkeys..  then merge it in a beautiful User Interface Windows.... That will be my dream and for a lot of customers.

A way to have global edition of all material values ...Density... Young modulus .... like Excel should be perfect. We have devellop a spreedsheet who do the job perfectly in my company.

Another idea is a way to sort by physical and structural caracteristics in the Material Attribution Windows. It could be usefull for designers of FEM analysts

A Hatch modification in all XSection by changing a material or modify the Hatch pitch  ideally should change in all views in the Drawing.

That's All

As of Creo 4.0, we partnered with Granta Design (Ansys) to provide a rich materials database consisting of 117 materials across plastics, metals, composites, and ceramics. These materials are also augmented with standard material attributes, including structural, thermal, and other properties.

PTC continues to monitor this area and can consider enhancements around categorizations and so forth in the future.
