Add more color contrast for Creo 3.0 icons

Add more color contrast for Creo 3.0 icons

The color contrast of Creo 3.0 icon has been reduced. A lot of our users complain about it.

In certain mode like Manufacturing, the impact is very serious.

It woul be great to retreive the same color contrast we had in Creo 2.0

I find the entire Creo 3 color scheme to be flat and boring.  Creo 2 was much better.

Additionally, the default lighting in all versions of Creo sucks, compared to WF5.  I actually set up a default scene for my lighting on all parts and assemblies and used the default lights copied over from WF2.  The lighting is MUCH better and not nearly as harsh or as bright on your eyes.  Somehow the folks at PTC thought the new, overly bright, harsh lighting was better than the old versions.  They were wrong.

There are several ideas on ribbon color. The program manager says it under consideration/implementation.

Possibility to change ribbon color in Creo 3.0

The issue in this case, is not the ribbon, but the color of the icons.  As Olivier stated above, the icon colors are flat and do not stand out at all any more.  Most everything PTC has done with lighting and color recently, has been wrong.  The lighting and icon colors were much easier on the eyes in the WF days of Pro/E.  Whoever thought looking at a white background for hours while designing was a good idea, should be fired.  A dark background and colorful icons are easier to view for long periods of time.

I HATE the colors of the icons in Creo 3.  Creo 2 was great.  Creo 3 icons do not have enough contrast.  They look like they've been left in the sun for a month.  Clearly, the people who did this don't have to use it every day.
