Add more cross-hatch profiles, and custom hatches

Add more cross-hatch profiles, and custom hatches

For most materials, the vector-based Creo crosshatching is fine. When the occasion comes to section concrete, or other materials that have non-linear hatches, there is no way to show the appropriate cross-hatch pattern on the drawing. Having some pre-defined non-linear hatches, or the ability to define your own non-linear hatch (simiar to symbol editor) would be helpful. The current hatch editor can create custom hatches, but only linear ones...

Current functionality in Creo 4.0 F000 allows the use of Non Linear Hatch (.pat) files. Includes some for ANSI, ISO, and some custom ones out of the box.

Steven Lapha , would you say these 2 ideas can now be marked as current functionality? Toby Metcalf‌ can do that.

I haven't yet used 4 so...

Yes, it appears that it's now current functionality.

I believe you can mark this as current functionality with the Creo 4 release

Hi all,

As indicated by others on this thread, Creo 4.0 indeed introduced the notion of PAT files. These pattern files can be for linear and non linear types of pattern.

Creo include many out-of-the-box  PAT files, but you could also find additional PAT files on the web and use those in Creo

Updating this product idea to current functionality

Thanks,

Michael Fridman
