Adding limit dimensions to a family table.

Adding limit dimensions to a family table.

When creating a family table the table does not allow you to create separate dimensional columns when using limits from the dimensional menu. We would like this option to be added into the family table menu so that both dimensions would each have their own column

Limits are created from the nominal based on an offset value. I would suggest utilizing 3 columns: nominal, minus value, plus value. You may need to make these parameters and use them in the dimension dialog box to drive what you want. The model will always be regenerated to the nominal value.

Reserving my vote until I understand a use case for this.

Just to clarify, dimensions and their corresponding tolerance values can be added to a family table.  Limit dimensions cannot be.

See allow to change tolerance tables in family tables and https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS98437
