Allow Simplified Reps in Assembly Master Rep

Soft/flexable parts, such as fabric covers, can take on different shapes when assembled.  Currently, to display a simplified rep in an assembly, every layer of the model with the simplified part in it needs to have a simplified rep because the master rep always displays the master rep of all parts and assemblies in it.

Allowing the simplified rep to be set for the master rep when assembling parts into a model would allow the same model to be used for all variations of the final form.

Why wouldn't you use flexibility?  It is intended to do exactly what you want.

I have not used flexability much.  A coworker has been showing me some of it.  However, all of the changes have to be set up everytime it is used.  If there are only three forms needed, being able to select one item is better than 10 every time it is used.

I think you want the default rep. This is what the default rep is for.
