When assembling components, the default should be coincident. The Offset box is greyed out. allow an offset to be typed in this box to change the constraint to distance. This will eliminate having to select the down arrow and then distance.
I like the idea of have the default be offset, but I am not sure that I want a mate to be able to be changed to offset by typing a value into what would be a greyed out box.
