We have got few nice functionality for curves like in sketch "Convert to spline" or in model "Copy Approximate" to convert continuous curves chain into one single 3D curve which are very helpful to obtain smooth surface base on that curves.
But sometimes it isn't possible to have as result single quilt without merged surfaces.
Sometimes it is hard to use flatten quilt or other nice feature if the quilt isn't single surface, so I wish to have also new feature or an option inside merge feature to have as a result one Quilt without inside edges at all.
Here is simple explanation by screenshot - this is just fast and simple, but can be more inner surface edges:
