I've done this many time. I created a sketched hole for say a flat head screw. I pattern it for the bolt pattern on the flange. I create as drawing, and add it to the next higher level assembly. Then, and engineer says "No, lets tap those holes instead." Oh crap, now I have to delete the pattern to change the type of hole. My drawing is all messed up and I have to fix it, and the the next higher assembly, and maybe even more, needs to be fixed!
PTC, make it so that if you have a pattern of holes you can change the type of hole without deleting the pattern.
