In some analysis dialogs (global interference, pairs interference and mass properties for sure, maybe others), the user is presented with three active buttons, glasses, a green check mark and a red X.
The green check mark would imply 'Go', but what it actually does is run the selected analysis and then immediately exit the dialog without allowing the user to view the results. If the user would like to see the results (why wouldn't they?), they should select the 'glasses' icon instead. Additionally, if the analysis has already been run, clicking the green check runs it again before exiting. If the analysis is time consuming, the user must wait again for it to run before moving on with their work.
The functionality of the green check mark should be revised to eliminate confusion. Some alternatives:
Disable access to the green check mark until an analysis has been run. The user would be presented with the glasses (run the analysis) or the red X (exit without running).
Leave the buttons the same, but present a confirmation dialog after the analysis is run and before the results are dismissed.
Eliminate the green check button adn only have glasses (run) and red X (exit). This seems the most logical as the green check button doesn't seem to provide any valuable additional functionality.
