Changing language of user interface during running session

Changing language of user interface during running session

International companies would have a benefit, if the language of the user interface could be changed during a running session.

Can the use cases be clarified here?

In which situations would a user switch the language "on the fly"?

Hello @mneumueller,

I work in a multinational corporation as a CAD system administrator and of course I also support our users in case of problems.
Sometimes the users work in a Creo language that is neither my native language nor English.
When I give remote support to the users, it would be very helpful if I could change the language to one I know on-the-fly during the session, so that I can find my way around faster or even help at all.
Or if the problem should result in a PTC technical support ticket, I would like to switch Creo quickly to English so that the support staff can quickly understand screenshots and screen videos and thus there are fewer queries.
If Creo has to be restarted only because of the language, this is very annoying, because then the whole session content (loaded models etc.) has to be rebuilt first.

Hi @DomenicLaritz

thank you for your feedback. I appreciate the use cases for Administrators and Support staff, but was wondering whether there is also a use case where it would be beneficial for CAD users to switch languages. Do your CAD users ask for this as well? If so, what's their use case?

Are you  asking for just the menus to change language or the text on a drawing, too?

@mneumueller, no, at least I am not aware of this requirement from Creo users.
They usually work in their native language or with English.

@BenLoosli, this product idea is purely about the language of the user interface such as menus, dialogues etc.
