Changing profile when creating Creo View files on the fly using JLink

Changing profile when creating Creo View files on the fly using JLink

We are running an application created i JLink roughly 150000 times a year (increasing at 15-20 % a year). To get the correct output we need to change the recipe when saving to CreoView format in different part of the application. This feature exist in Creo 3 as well as in interactive mode. To keep the performance in line with the workload we would like to have this feature in Creo 6 and on wards.

Status changed to: Implementation In Progress

Hi @dunger,

This capability is being implemented into Creo, as part of the Creo 7.0.2.0 maintenance release (available later in the year).

As part of this fix, we will allow users of Toolkit (C), Object Toolkit (C++) and Java Object Toolkit to create a application using a new API to load a desired export profile on the fly in the current Creo session which will be used for exporting data to that given format.  This API can be used for any export format....in your case, you are interested in only Creo View, but it will also work for other formats like STEP or JT, etc.  You will need to create the export profile leveraging the correct Creo View recipe, which then can be called through the toolkit application.

Thanks,

Mark
