I see that it lists the dimension number and highlights the feature in the geometry window. However, the feature itself is not highlighted in the model tree. The dimension itself is also not displayed in the graphics window. The only way to really edit it is to search for the dimension number. The search tool isn't the most intuitive or easy tool to use for beginners. We were hoping for either the dimension to highlight or the feature in the model tree. In the video here: https://learningconnector.ptc.com/content/tut-6337/body-interference-and-weak-dimensions-checks-in-modelcheck the presenter magically knew which sketch to go to, even thought it wasn't highlighted. Even though the geometry of the feature is highlighted, we can't right-mouse-click and do a simple edit definition. In addition, some of our test geometry is buried under rounds. So we can't select the highlighted surface either.
Is there something else we are missing? If not, can we get some of these recommendations implemented in a future date code? The preference would be to go straight into the sketch, since many weak dimensions are caused due to a lack of proper constraining, which can't be done by editing the value. Thanks!
Edit: maybe the feature name, number and ID could also be added to make it easier to find.
This is a screenshot of only a small portion of a feature - all highlighted, but no easy way to select or find the feature in the very long model tree (over 250 features) since the 'extruded' ribs are drafted later:
@jwagh Thanks for the reminder. I remember asking the team about this back when you first posted the recommendation, but I can't recall where that conversation went! Let me check back in and get back to you.
@jwagh Sorry for the delay here. It looks like we can fix this so that the feature is highlighted in the model tree. Would you mind opening up a Tech Support case for this so that we can have a customer attached to the bug that gets filed? It will help increase the priority for the fix.
