You carefully define a STEP export profile to use as the default for your company. A user tries to use it, but is curious and starts clicking around, but wants to reset to the default, so of course they click Reset.
Except what they get isn't a reset to the default profile, they get a reset to the factory OOTB settings, which PTC says is intentional.
The Reset button needs to reset to the defined default profile. Yes, you can Load Profile, but that takes a user to their workspace, not to a location where you would store profiles. It would be much easier to cancel the whole process and start over.
