It would be very beneficial to many of us if we could color a finished casting so that finished surfaces are 'grey' and rough surfaces are 'orange' (or any other combination) - in an intelligent way. 'Intelligent' means that the solid surfaces know that they are finished, hence all the other surfaces are rough.
This concept can be extended to other properties of solid surfaces, so that colors can be used dynamically to visualise specific aspects of a solid.
