Nesting configurable products is possible on the Creo side (Assemble command does not prevent selecting an existing configurable product) and it is supported on the Windchill side.
The problem is that if configurable module are collapsible in both Opiton & Variat and Option Modeler, Configurable product in Option Modeler remains as Assembly inspite of in Option & Variant is Collapsible.
An idea of Creo Configurable Product collapsible in Option Modeler linked with Option & Variant sould be a good idea to obtain coherent module variant in WTparts structure and the same EPMdocument obtained applying "variant builder" option.
