For models, created with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3 (tested also on Wildfire 4), pitch circle diameter on the drawing view with or without cross-section, where the hole of the pitch circle is positioned half of the pitch out of the plane of drawing view, was represented correctly, i.e. witness lines of pitch circle diameter go through the axis of the hole (see PDF attached, hole in question circled in red). This functionality was changed back in version Wildfire 5 and remains changed in Creo 4. Change in the functionality forces for the pitch circle diameter to be represented "as is", i.e. when showing the same pitch circle diameter on the same drawing view, where the hole of the pitch circle diameter is displaced from the drawing view plane, the witness lines of pitch circle diameter are offset of the axis (see PDF attached, hole in question circled in red). Now, there are alternatives, where for example:
a) pitch circle diameter might be displayed on the top view, or
b) drawing view might be created to cross exactly the axis of the hole on pitch circle diameter, or
c) holes on the pitch circle diameter might be placed exactly on the drawing view plane, etc.
However, all the above alternatives require additional views to be added to the drawing or additional features (e.g. view orientations, X-sections, etc.) to be implemented to the model and drawing (a and b) or the company standards to be violated (c).
The product idea is to bring back functionality for representing pitch circle diameters as it was implemented before Wildfire 4. In case, implementation of this functionality would violate the standards for drawing representations, there should be an option setting for the user to decide against the standard, if necessary.
