Create a configuration setting that allows the ability to turn on "Include quilts" by default when creating Section Views.
Because welds are created as quilts if you do not remember to check this setting 2D views will not update properly. Welds that would normally not be seen in a section will show.
If this was a simple configuration setting to turn on or off by default it would help to remove confusion as increase efficiency.
This would help for drawings, too. For some bizzare reason it isn't enabled by default and drawing x-section views with quilts will show quilt geometry through solid geometry.
Yup, good idea. Being able to just have the quilts included would save the hassle of fixing them after the fact. Most of my assemblies don't initially have surface models. Over time, with additional components being added, surface models seem to be inevitable and all the x-sections have to be re-defined to include quilts.
Lets turn it the other way around; in which situation would you NOT include the quilts?
And why isn't this option available in an offset section?
