Create axis using coordinate system

Creo 4.0 however can not do in Creo 8.0 either.

Create axis using existing coordinate system. Should be able to define which axis of coordinate system to use X, Y or Z

4. What is the use case for your organization?

Simplification, Less features required.

5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
Time savings.

Having said that, I would encourage to look at some recent ideas that were well documented (ex:  here). Providing more info and context may help your idea to gain attention and traction in the Community.

I got this message from pausob (he was having difficulty commenting on this idea) about using a coordinate system to create an axis (I paraphrased his message to me below)

If you start the axis creation process and you move the mouse over on of the arrows on a coordinate system, it will allow you to select that arrow of the coordinate system to create the coincident axis. 

Or, during the axis feature definition, you can launch the search tool to find them for you:

This should not be marked as current functionality. Even though it is possible the work flow is not intutive or easy to use. Should be able to pick the coordinate through normal creation method.

That's fair. Maybe mark this a current functionality and make a new idea (or edit this one if you can) specifically to correct the poor workflow. I too was expecting the coordinate system selection to be similar to all the other selections and didn't see the non-intuitive selection process options.

@WayneSchrock , it looks like you have a different idea in mind. I suggest you post a different one with as many details as possible centered on the problem you have in mind and how the functionality is not intuitive.
