Create option for Parameter xml import data to replace existing values

Create option for Parameter xml import data to replace existing values

Many times a parameter is created for the purpose of it being a variable data field. This data field can often drive relations and purposefully change the model. A full access parameter is created with this intent. A user can easily change it's value by accessing parameters and typing in a value, then regenerating the model to obtain the deired effect. A model template is a good use of this feature. However, the user can make a typographical error in this entry field. If there are many parameters to revise, the chance for error becomes more likely.

In order to semi-automate the process of changing several parameters at once, and reduce the likelihood of errors in data entry, it is desireable to be able to read the values from an XML file an replace the existing parameter values. However, when this is attempted via Parameters>File>Import Data>in *.xml format, the existing parameters are unchanged and Creo creates new parameters instead. This makes the import feature somewhat useless. This is discussed in CS163334 and CS297809 (the later states that this is the intended functionality), and non-simple workaround's are mentioned in various discussion groups. Therefore, the recommendation is to revise the functionality options so that existing parameter values can in fact be overwritten if that is the user's intent.

it would be useful let the "flag" on DESIGNATE of each parameter be exported in the XML file to be read in the importation
