I'm Cad manager in watch making industry.
We are currently using the release 8 of CREO Parametric.
To share the content of MBD models defined in CREO Parametric we use 3D PDF created with Theorem provide by Theorem Solutions. The Theorem converter embeded in CREO use API to retrieve a lot of informations and details.
If we consult a 3D PDF created with Theorem in a PDF reader, for geometric tolerances we are able to show the attachement references. But it's not possible to show the same for dimensions.
The current API can't retrieve the information through the 3D model.
Theorem development departement has made tests with the CREO 9 release and the ProAnnotationelemReferencesCollect() and ProDimensionAttachmentsGet() features have not been improved and they work as in CREO 7 or 8.
The main goal is to give the better understanding of the 3D model inside the PDF.
The business value with this improvement will be to retrieve in the 3D PDF all the semantics informations and avoid misunderstanding.

I have asked our R&D about this case.
According to them: ProDimensionAdditionalRefsGet() can provide the details about the first/second additional references of dimensions. so it should work.
In case that it is still doesn't work for you, please try to submit a Tech support case (or ask Theorem to do so) and provide the code details, so that this could be easily investigated by our end.

Can you please confirm with Theorem that they were using the same API that I wrote above - ProDimensionAdditionalRefsGet()
Whereas your product idea named ProAnnotationelemReferencesCollect() and ProDimensionAttachmentsGet()
