Creo Live Simulation Results Scale Control

Creo Live Simulation Results Scale Control

Creo Live Simulation allows the user to set the top and bottom of the scale.  I suggest that the user should be able to use any color division or at least orange to red to set the scale.  The reason for setting the scale is to visualise where the stress goes beyond a defined limit.  Setting the top of the red scale does not provide a delineation at the defined limit.  To get this the user must calculate the scale settings required to get the required value at a delineation on the scale.

Example:

To set delineation between orange and red:

((Required value - bottom of scale) / 8 * 9) + (bottom of scale)= top of scale

Make setting of scale to needed values simpler.  The computer is much faster and better at making these simple but time consuming calculations.

FYI I have spoken directly with the PTC product manager about a similar idea and the response was we get what we get from Ansys.

Hi Chris3 and kdirth,

It is true when CSL was first implemented that we didn't have control of the legend.  However with Creo 7.0+, we changed the legend and now have more control over how it is displayed.  It is an interesting idea and I will look further into it.
