Creo needs to take advantage of wide aspect displays

Creo needs to take advantage of wide aspect displays

Newer monitors are much wider than they are tall and the new (horrible) ribbon scheme reduces the useable model space.

Please allow the ribbon to be moved to the left or right side of the screen.  Even better, abandon the ribbon scheme for something that actually increases productivity and improves usability while taking advantage of wider aspect monitors.

I hear ya, look at how much is left for the working area, table outlined in green.  And ofcourse the orange is left open for the legacy popup windows.

In a stand alone browser the Structures tab is a classic example of not thinking about the work space.

PTC is continuously improving the UI and tool interaction workflows to reduce the need to actually travel to the ribbon.

As of Creo 7.0 you can make use of

- Mini-toolbar access to commands as well as feature options which help users focus on the design in the graphics area.

- The full screen mode allows to maximize graphics and dynamically fly-in ribbon UI and model tree UI elements when required

- For Creo 8.0 we are also working on:

     - improving the options panel behavior to allow them to be detached and opening automatically as intended by the user for each feature

    -  we are also working on options that increase control over high-dpi scaling behaviors and control when working with multiple monitors
